LEITRIM, Ireland — September 19th 2026 — The majestic 100-acre canopy of the Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway came alive yesterday, Saturday, September 19th, as music lovers gathered for the highly anticipated Night and Day Drumhierny Session.

Offering an intimate escape from the everyday, the satellite event blended the raw beauty of Leitrim’s ancient woodlands with world-class live performances, cementing the hideaway as a premier destination for unique cultural experiences.

A Headlining Performance to Remember

The undisputed highlight of the day was a powerful, soul-stirring headline set by Irish music icon Damien Dempsey. Performing against the backdrop of rustling leaves and towering trees, "Damo" captivated the spellbound audience with his signature blend of traditional folk roots, fierce social commentary, and anthemic lyricism. Tracks spanning his legendary three-decade career resonated deeply through the woodland air, creating an atmosphere of unity and raw emotion that only Damo can conjure.

A Vibrant Tapestry of Supporting Talent

Complementing the headline act, the wider lineup delivered an extraordinary series of performances that showcased the rich diversity of contemporary Irish music. Festival-goers were treated to spellbinding sets from a host of acclaimed artists across the woodland stages: Áine Tyrrell mesmerized the crowds with her smoky, soulful vocals and hypnotic storytelling; indie-folk sensations The Vibes played a fantastic set, Sexy Tadgh and Fair Green and dynamic Kit James brought fantastic pulse with their music to the forest with their vibrant, beats. Cedar Dobson and Gabriel Gonzale played a fantastic set in the Barn Stage .

Local Heritage Shines in The Cederoo

While the main stages drew massive applause, some of the day's most magical and culturally resonant moments unfolded within the intimate, atmospheric confines of The Cederoo.

Here, local favorites The Carolan Collective took center stage, delivering a breathtaking showcase of traditional musicianship. Surrounded by nature, their intricate melodies, driven by rich acoustic instrumentation and deep roots in the local community, offered a poignant nod to the musical heritage of the region.
