David Knight
David Knight is a photographer and musician whose passion is for the deep heart of Ireland. It is evident in his images, in his love of people, of culture, of Irish heritage and the community. And in the music that he plays with family and friends. David is someone who can take each of the strands that make up the Irish psyche and weave them into a picture that we see, hear and experience.
David has worked as a professional photographer for over 40 years. Based in the northwest of Ireland. He has worked with clients such as Trinity College Dublin, the National Museum of Ireland. The Great House Association of Ireland. Many advertising agencies and public relations firms. He was involved in running publishing companies, producing calendars, cards and gifts for the Irish and international markets. He's now concentrating on his own creative work in the areas of cultural heritage, landscape and people of Ireland.
He is also available for commissions but is currently working on his. Photographic archive of Ireland with a view of producing live performances using photography and music which will be available for performance in Ireland and abroad.

Promoting Irelands Traditional Culture and Heritage
Inspirational Ireland will be a project to promote Ireland's unique heritage. of culture. Music, Landscape, and its people. It will be told through the medium of photography, video and music. Its form will consist of audiovisual presentations for live concert performances and his website will feature David Knights unique collection of photographs under various themes of Ireland, some of which will be accompanied by Irish traditional music and songs.
Tunes and songs are currently being selected to accompany the galleries and for future performances. David's father, Billy Knight and David are currently recording in a studio a number of suitable pieces. David has also invited two musicians to assist in the project. Mossie Martin, the well-known fiddle player and tutor of the Drumbshanbo Irish music course in Co.Leitrim and Paric Sweeney, the well-known tutor and teacher from the Joe Mooney Summer School in County Leitrim.
The plan is to have a number of live performances in 2025 at home here in Ireland with at least one performance or tour internationally. There is already interest from a number of festivals in the North West.
