The Boyle Arts Festival, a ten-day celebration of art and culture in County Roscommon, recently featured an immersive show titled "Inspirational Ireland," an audiovisual performance curated by local photographer and musician David Knight. This event, held at King House, provided a unique experience, blending live music with stunning visual media to celebrate the country's heritage, landscape, and people.

The performance showcased a curated selection of Knight's extensive archive of photographs and videos, with a particular focus on the scenic beauty and rich culture of Ireland's northwest. The visuals were complemented by live musical performances from a talented group of musicians. David Knight himself contributed on guitar and vocals, while his father, Billy Knight, a veteran of Ireland's jazz scene, played the clarinet. The ensemble also included traditional Irish musicians Mossie Martin on fiddle and whistles and Fiachra Guihen on harp and flute. Together, they created a captivating and harmonious experience, inviting the audience to rediscover and appreciate the magic of Ireland.

David Knight is one of the original founders of the Boyle Arts Festival, which has grown from a small visual arts event in 1983 into a multi-disciplinary festival attracting national and international artists. The festival, now in its 38th year, continues to be a cornerstone of the region's summer calendar, offering a diverse program of music, visual arts, drama, and literature.
